Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American music producer and vocalist from Washington, D.C., who was the first female to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. She released her first EP for the label on Oct. 21st, 2016, titled Pho. This is when she began gaining recognition. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox released her debut tracks online in 2012. She dropped the single Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw her continue to share her music over the web including her self release single Bound. In 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album on the song Sweat it out on July 21. Later that year her songs were circulating among the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to work with him on some references for Rihanna. The news was released on December 8that she was made an agreement with Dreamville Records. She appeared on the collaborative album Revenge of the Dreamers II on the track Backseat with Cozz. She released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21st the 21st of October, 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance on behalf of J. Cole on his track Change in the year 2017 and was a part of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018 she went on to appear in two songs featuring her labelmates EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018. The music video followed by a music video in September. Her second single for Grampa on November 9. In November, 13, she released two additional singles called One and Pdigree. One as well as Pdigree. She was featured with Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby the 16th of November 16, and then she released the song as a solo single for her debut album. On February 20, 2019, a music clip was released for the song. It has already received more than three millions views on YouTube during its initial week. In December of 2018 the singer was a part of her From East Atlanta With Love Tour that featured 6LACK.
